AUing Ginny into the MCU (a work in progress)

Instead of meeting when they're 16-17 for the first time, maybe they meet in that time between Bucky leaving to go to war and Steve going after him when his unit was captured by Hydra. It might have to be RIGHT after he leaves or something, but it might work. Ginny can still be a chess genius, and the unwilling keeper of her father's scientific secrets. She can still be basically sold by her father, and the two of them can escape and grow closer. Before they end up being separated.

Their meetings off and on during his time as the Winter Soldier can be kept. Only instead of dying during that last meeting, she doesn't. Somehow. And she ends up in cryo instead. Somehow. (When in doubt, handwavy cryo times.)
